Villa Cabbiavoli. Nestled in the heart of the Chianti Valley, the Castle is found just 30 km from Florence. It is located on the Via Francigena, the historic road that connected France with Rome. The Villa’s story goes back to the 13th century. This beautiful building was later turned into an elegant Villa for an important aristocratic family, and was owned by the same family until the 17th century.
The Castle was recently restored but elements of the original structure are still visible in the square, brick tower and in the walls around the Villa. The restoration preserved original structural details while modern amenities were added to satisfy an international and exclusive clientele.
The Estate produces a red Chianti wine from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes and Extra-virgin olive oil from a cold press of the Estate’s olives.
