Description
Villa Serena is found among the greenery and silence of the hillsides, where the dense mountain woods slope down towards extensive olive groves. The Villa is protected from above by Etruscan walls, and looks down on the Renaissance battlements of a Ghibelline tower. The expansive view of the Valdichiana valley opens out, enclosed by the sinuous outlines of the Appenine foothills, dominated by Mount Amiata and the hills that are reflected on the silvery waters of Lake Trasimeno.
The 19th-century Villa is part of a residence that also includes 2 small Cottages. Each structure is completely independent. Each has its own private entrance and private garden area.
The beautiful city of Cortona is less than 1 kilometre away – guests can even walk there enjoying the wonderful views of the Valdichiana and Lake Trasimeno areas. It is near Arezzo, in the centre of the ‘golden triangle’ of some of the most important artistic sites in central Italy: Arezzo, Perugia, Siena, as well as Assisi and Florence which are just a short journey away.

The Villa nestles beneath the impressive hillside on which Cortona was built. The beautiful city of Cortona is less than 1 kilometre away – guests can even walk there enjoying the wonderful views of the Valdichiana and Lake Trasimeno areas. It is near Arezzo, in the centre of the ‘golden triangle’ of some of the most important artistic sites in central Italy: Arezzo, Perugia, Siena, as well as Assisi and Florence which are just a short journey away. It is advised that guests have a car to arrive at the Villa.
