Description
Serristori Country is in the heart of the Florentine Chianti region, settled on the crest of a rolling hill covered with vineyards and olive orchards. The structure is made by two abodes, the farmhouse and the villa, and has been divided into 10 comfortable apartments, in accordance with the ancient architectural canons of Tuscan farmers, where baked stone and wood are mixed harmoniously. To finish these materials, natural products that were once common place have been used: beeswax, linseed oil, and old whitewashing techniques.
In the subterranean levels of the ancient farmhouse tower, a cool cantina, now completely restored, has developed here over the centuries.
In the ancient vats dating back to the 1200’s, constructed out of blocks of stone chiseled entirely by hand, two smaller cantinas have also been created. The still functioning bread oven is located just above the cantina.
The Cantina is an original spot for ceremonies, banquets and parties.
With its characteristic red brick arches, the cantina is equipped with kitchen and services, as well as a large adjacent loggia, ideal for cocktails and appetizers.
The cantina can be directly accessed from the parking lot and can accommodate up to 56 people.
Serristori Country is also characterized by original details: period furniture has been restored with a modern style added to the elements of provincial design, lighting and wall lamps made exclusively for the residence, damask material and luxurious finishings.
